Angoori Shikanji (Black Grapes Lemonade) recipe

Ingredients

4 Servings
(1 serving = 1 glass)

For the Compote

  • 500g
    black grapes
  • 100g
    sugar

For the Shikanji

  • 1tsp
    black salt
  • 2tsp
    cumin seeds powder
  • 2tsp
    chat masala
  • 4tbsp
    lemon juice
  • 8sprigs
    mint leaves

How to make Angoori Shikanji (Black Grapes Lemonade)

Prepare the Compote

  1. Combine black grapes and sugar in a saucepan.

  2. Cook over medium heat until the grapes break down and the mixture thickens.

  3. Let it cool and store in the refrigerator for later use.

Prepare the Shikanji

  1. In a glass, add 4 tablespoons of the grape compote.

  2. Add black salt, cumin seeds powder, and chat masala.

  3. Pour in lemon juice and stir well.

  4. Garnish with mint leaves and serve chilled.

Tips & Tricks

  1. You can make a larger amount of compote and refrigerate it for later use.
