Tips & Tricks
Oat flour - I simply ground 1+1/4 cup regular/rolled oats in a food processor to get 1 cup of oat flour!
Whey protein - I used this to increase the protein content of these blondies, but this is completely optional. You can substitute for more oat/normal flour.
FAQS
What is the best way to store healthy strawberry blondies?
To store your healthy strawberry blondies, let them cool completely, then place them in an airtight container. They can be kept at room temperature for up to 3 days or in the refrigerator for up to a week. For longer storage, consider freezing them; just wrap each blondie individually in plastic wrap and place them in a freezer-safe bag.
Can I substitute chickpeas in the healthy strawberry blondies recipe?
Yes, you can substitute chickpeas with other legumes like white beans or black beans for a similar texture. If you're looking for a non-legume option, you could try using silken tofu, which will also provide moisture and protein.
Are these healthy strawberry blondies suitable for a gluten-free diet?
Yes, you can make these healthy strawberry blondies gluten-free by using certified gluten-free oat flour instead of regular oat flour and ensuring that your white flour is also gluten-free or substituting it with almond flour or coconut flour.
What can I pair with healthy strawberry blondies for a dessert platter?
Healthy strawberry blondies pair wonderfully with a scoop of vanilla or strawberry ice cream, a dollop of Greek yogurt, or fresh fruit like berries. You can also serve them with a drizzle of chocolate sauce or a sprinkle of nuts for added texture.
How do I know when my healthy strawberry blondies are done baking?
Your healthy strawberry blondies are done baking when they are golden brown on top and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean or with a few moist crumbs. Be careful not to overbake them, as they can dry out.
