Sweet Brown Butter Sage and Pear Burrata recipe

Ingredients

4 Servings
(1 serving = one portion)
  • 2piece
    ripe pears (Bartlett or Anjou), cored and sliced
  • 3tbsp
    unsalted butter
  • 6sprigs
    fresh sage leaves
  • 2tbsp
    brown sugar
  • 1tbsp
    lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1piece
    ball of burrata cheese
  • 1/4cup
    walnuts, toasted and roughly chopped
  • Fresh sage leaves, for garnish

How to make Sweet Brown Butter Sage and Pear Burrata

Prepare the Pears

  1. Core and slice the pears into thin wedges.

Brown the Butter

  1. Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat. Cook until golden brown and nutty, about 3-4 minutes.

  2. Add brown sugar and sage leaves, cooking until sage is crispy.

Cook the Pears

  1. Add pear slices to the skillet, cooking until tender and caramelized, about 5-7 minutes.

  2. Stir in lemon juice, and season with salt and pepper.

Assemble the Dish

  1. Spoon the brown butter sage pears on your plate then top with burrata, drizzling some brown butter on top.

Garnish and Serve

  1. Sprinkle toasted walnuts and garnish with fresh sage leaves.

  2. Serve immediately with crusty bread.
