    olive oil
  • 1
    onion, chopped
  • 2cups
    pumpkin puree
  • 1tsp
    ground cinnamon
  • 1/2tsp
    ground nutmeg
  • 1tsp
    ground cumin
  • 1tsp
    garlic powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 3 1/2cups
    vegetable or chicken broth
  • 1/2cup
    heavy cream (optional)

How to make Cozy Pumpkin Soup

  1. Sauté chopped onions in olive oil until translucent.

  2. Add pumpkin puree and mix well.

  3. Sprinkle in cinnamon, nutmeg, cumin, garlic powder, and salt.

  4. Pour in broth and let it come to a simmer.

  5. Blend until smooth, then return to the pot.
