How to make Amritsari Paneer Bhurji

Preparation

  1. Chop one large onion, one large tomato, ginger, and green chillies.

Cooking

  1. In a pan, add mustard oil and then add besan. Roast it for 2 minutes.

  2. In a different pan, add ghee and cumin seeds, followed by the chopped onion. Roast for 5 minutes.

  3. Add the chopped ginger and green chillies. Cook until the raw smell goes away.

  4. Add the chopped tomatoes and cook until they become mushy.

  5. Add salt, turmeric powder, and coriander powder. Mix well and cook for another 5 minutes.

  6. Add the prepared besan paste and mix well. Then add one cup of water and boil until the consistency thickens.

  7. Grate the paneer and cook for another 5-8 minutes on low flame.

  8. Finally, add chopped coriander leaves and crushed kasuri methi. Cook for another 2 minutes.

  9. Serve hot and enjoy.
