Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1cup
    sago (sabudana)
  • 2tbsp
    ghee
  • 1cup
    boiled potatoes, mashed
  • 2tsp
    cumin seeds
  • 2tsp
    green chilies, chopped
  • 1tsp
    salt
  • 2tbsp
    fresh coriander, chopped
  • 1cup
    water

How to make Sabhudana Ki Khichdi

Preparation Steps

  1. Rinse the sago in water and soak it for about 2-3 hours.

  2. In a pan, heat ghee and add cumin seeds.

  3. Once the cumin seeds start to splutter, add chopped green chilies.

  4. Add the mashed potatoes and sauté for a few minutes.

  5. Add the soaked sago and mix well.

  6. Add salt and water, and cook on low heat until the sago becomes translucent.

  7. Garnish with fresh coriander before serving.

Tips & Tricks

  1. Make sure to soak the sago properly to achieve the right texture.

  2. You can add peanuts for extra crunch and flavor.
