Paneer Masala recipe

Ingredients

4 Servings
(1 serving = 1 cup)

Masala Base

  • 1tsp
    oil
  • 1
    onion
  • 2clove
    garlic
  • 1in
    ginger
  • 2
    tomatoes
  • 2tbsp
    butter
  • 200g
    paneer
  • 1sprig
    coriander leaves

How to make Paneer Masala

Prepare the Masala

  1. Heat oil in a pan and add the onion, garlic, and ginger. Sauté for 2 to 3 minutes.

  2. Add the chopped tomatoes and cook on medium heat for 15 minutes.

  3. After 15 minutes, remove the pan from heat and take out the whole spices.

  4. Let the mixture cool down a bit and grind it to a smooth paste.

Cook the Paneer

  1. In the same pan, add butter and the remaining oil on medium heat. Add the ground paste back into the pan.

  2. Add paneer and cook for 2 to 3 minutes on medium heat.

  3. Garnish the paneer masala with coriander leaves and serve hot with naan or lacha parantha.

Tips & Tricks

  1. For a richer flavor, you can add cream to the masala before serving.
