Main Ingredients

  • 1cup
    kheel
  • 1cup
    mixed vegetables, finely chopped
  • 1piece
    onion, finely chopped
  • 1piece
    green chili, finely chopped
  • 1tsp
    ginger, grated
  • 1tsp
    cumin seeds
  • 1tsp
    mustard seeds
  • 1tsp
    turmeric powder
  • 1tsp
    salt
  • 1tbsp
    coriander leaves, chopped

How to make Oil-Free Healthy Kheel Vegetables Appe

Preparation

  1. Soak the kheel in water for 5 minutes and then drain.

  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the soaked kheel, mixed vegetables, onion, green chili, ginger, cumin seeds, mustard seeds, turmeric powder, and salt.

  3. Mix well to form a batter.

Cooking

  1. Preheat an appe pan on medium heat.

  2. Spoon the batter into each cavity of the appe pan.

  3. Cover and cook on medium heat until the bottom is golden brown.

  4. Flip the appe and cook the other side until golden brown.

  5. Remove from the pan and garnish with chopped coriander leaves.

  1. Ensure the kheel is well-drained to prevent the batter from becoming too watery.

  2. Adjust the spice level by varying the amount of green chili.

  3. Serve hot for the best taste.
