- 1pieceonion, finely chopped
- 1piecegreen chili, finely chopped
- 1tspginger, grated
- 1tspcumin seeds
- 1tspmustard seeds
- 1tspturmeric powder
- 1tspsalt
- 1tbspcoriander leaves, chopped
How to make Oil-Free Healthy Kheel Vegetables Appe
Preparation
Soak the kheel in water for 5 minutes and then drain.
In a mixing bowl, combine the soaked kheel, mixed vegetables, onion, green chili, ginger, cumin seeds, mustard seeds, turmeric powder, and salt.
Mix well to form a batter.
Cooking
Preheat an appe pan on medium heat.
Spoon the batter into each cavity of the appe pan.
Cover and cook on medium heat until the bottom is golden brown.
Flip the appe and cook the other side until golden brown.
Remove from the pan and garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
Tips & Tricks
Ensure the kheel is well-drained to prevent the batter from becoming too watery.
Adjust the spice level by varying the amount of green chili.
