- 1tspmustard seeds
- 1tspurad dal
- 1tspchana dal
- 2green chilies slit
- 1sprigcurry leaves
- 1lemon juiced
- 1tspturmeric powder
- 1tspsalt
- 2tbsppeanuts
How to make Lemon Rice
Preparation Steps
Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
Add mustard seeds and let them splutter.
Add urad dal and chana dal, and sauté until golden brown.
Add slit green chilies and curry leaves, and sauté for a minute.
Stir in turmeric powder and salt.
Add the cooked rice and mix well.
Pour in the lemon juice and mix until evenly coated.
Add peanuts and mix again.
Serve hot.
Tips & Tricks
You can adjust the spice level by adding more or fewer green chilies.
For added flavor, you can include a pinch of asafoetida.
