How to make Gajar Ka Halwa

Preparation

  1. In a heavy-bottomed pan, heat the ghee.

  2. Add the grated carrots and sauté for a few minutes until they soften.

  3. Pour in the milk and bring it to a boil.

  4. Reduce the heat and let it simmer, stirring occasionally until the milk reduces and thickens.

  5. Add the sugar and cardamom powder, and mix well.

  6. Cook until the mixture thickens and the ghee starts to separate.

  7. Garnish with mixed nuts before serving.
