FAQS
Can I use whole wheat flour instead of all-purpose flour for this recipe?
Yes, you can use whole wheat flour, but it may change the texture slightly, making it denser. Adjust the water quantity as needed to achieve a non-sticky dough.
How can I ensure my Namak Para stays crispy after frying?
To keep your Namak Para crispy, allow them to cool completely on a wire rack after frying. Store them in an airtight container to maintain their crunchiness.
What can I serve with Namak Para?
Namak Para pairs well with tea, coffee, or can be enjoyed with chutneys like mint or tamarind for added flavor.
How do I know when the oil is hot enough for frying?
You can test the oil's temperature by dropping a small piece of dough into it. If it sizzles and rises to the surface, the oil is ready for frying.
Can I bake Namak Para instead of deep frying?
Yes, you can bake them for a healthier option. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake them on a lined baking sheet until golden brown, flipping halfway through.
