    red bell peppers

    horse mackerel fish
  • 2piece
    red peppers
  • 3piece
    tomatoes
  • 1piece
    onion, chopped
  • 4piece
    Maggie seasoning cubes
  • 2piece
    onions
  • 8piece
    scotch bonnet peppers
  • 1bundle
    spinach
  • 1piece
    cow skin (pomo)
  • 7g
    curry powder
  • 1tsp
    salt

How to make Nigerian Vegetable Soup

  1. Boil the pomo cow skin till tender

  2. Blend all the vegetables together.

  3. Pour some red oil in the pot and fry diced onion.

  4. Pour in the blended mixture and add the seasoning cubes, curry powder, and salt.

  5. Add the boiled pomo (cow skin) and the horse mackerel fish. Cover and cook for 5 minutes.

  6. After 5 minutes, remove the fish and set it aside to avoid breaking.

  7. Add the spinach and cook until it shrinks down. Mix, cover the pot, and cook for 15 minutes.

  8. After 15 minutes, put back the fish and mix.

  9. After mixing, cook for an extra 5 minutes and your Nigerian vegetable soup is ready.

Tips & Tricks

  1. Ensure the fish is removed after the initial 5 minutes to prevent it from breaking apart.

  2. Adjust the amount of scotch bonnet peppers based on your spice tolerance.
