Chocolate-Dipped Potato Chips recipe

Ingredients

4 Servings
(1 serving = about 10 chips)

Main Ingredients

  • 1cup
    chocolate (semi-sweet, milk, or dark)

Optional Toppings

  • 1pinch
    sea salt
  • 1pinch
    sprinkles
  • 1pinch
    crushed nuts

How to make Chocolate-Dipped Potato Chips

Preparation

  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper to place your coated chips for cooling.

Melting Chocolate

  1. Use a microwave or double boiler to melt the chocolate until smooth. If microwaving, heat in 15-30 second intervals, stirring in between to avoid burning.

Dipping and Topping

  1. Hold each potato chip by one end and dip it halfway into the melted chocolate. Let excess chocolate drip off to prevent clumping.

  2. While the chocolate is still wet, sprinkle sea salt or other toppings for a burst of flavor.

Cooling and Serving

  1. Place the dipped chips on the parchment-lined tray and let them sit at room temperature or in the refrigerator until the chocolate hardens (about 15-30 minutes).

  2. Once the chocolate has fully set, serve immediately or store in an airtight container for up to 2 days.

Tips & Tricks

  1. Choose thick, sturdy chips like ridged or kettle-cooked chips to hold up well when coated in chocolate.
