  • 2cups
    of flour
  • 1cup
    of sugar
  • 1
    table spoon yeast
  • 2
    table spoon milk flavour
  • 1/2
    table spoon black pepper
  • 1tsp
    nutmeg powder

How to make Nigerian Puff-Puff

Mix dry ingredients

  1. Add flour, sugar, nutmeg, instant yeast, milk flavour, pepper and salt to a bowl and mix thoroughly till even

  1. Add warm water gradually and mix thoroughly until batter is smooth ( not runny and not too thick)

  2. Cover the mixture and keep in a warm dark place for 45 mins- 1 hour, allowing yeast to ferment ( The batter would rise)

  3. Preheat vegetable oil in wok pan till oil starts to sizzle then using your hand, drop the batter in oil ( please refer to my video see how)

  4. Allow to fry till it's golden brown and scoop out of oil with a frying spoon and voila!

Tips & Tricks

  1. The trick is to make sure you use enough oil and let the oil be hot before placing the batter in else the puff puff would be oily and soggy.
