Nigerian Egg Toast

Nigerian Egg Toast is the perfect breakfast! It can be paired with hot chocolate, coffee, fruit juice, pap etc and it is very easy to make and pocket friendly π. I used a sandwich maker to prepare this.

Ingredients
- 4slices of bread
- Butter
- 2eggs
- pinchof salt
- pinchof thyme leaves (optional)
- pinchof pepper
- pinchof seasoning cube
- 2garlic cloves
How to make Nigerian Egg Toast
Prepping the eggs
First of, crack eggs and pour into a clean bowl and whisk
Then add a pinch of salt, a pinch of pepper, a pinch of seasoning cube and garlic (preferably grated) and thyme leaves to the eggs and whisk.
Prepping the bread
Butter up the 4 slices of bread
Making the toast
Preheat the sandwich maker and grease it with little butter
Place one slice of buttered bread on the sandwich maker
Glaze the bread with the egg mix
Then place another slice of buttered bread on the bread. (Also glaze the buttered part of this bread before placing)
Close the sandwich maker and allow to toast for roughly 1 minute or until it looks like the photo below
Then flip the bread to the other side and allow to toast for another minute. (Flipping the bread is what gives it that lovely X pattern)
Voila! The toast is ready. You can snack on it or pair it up with whatever beverage you want or with omelet or Dodo (fried plantain). Check out my page for how to fry Dodo like a pro. π
Tips & Tricks
Leaving the bread in the sandwich maker for a longer amount of time would result in it getting burnt.
