Delicious and easy-to-make biscuits with a hint of custard flavor.

Ingredients

24 Servings
(1 serving = 1 biscuit)

Vanilla essence

  • 5cups
    flour
  • 5tsp
    baking powder
  • 250g
    margarine
  • 3/4cup
    sugar
  • 2piece
    eggs
  • 1 1/2cup
    milk
  • 2tbsp
    custard powder
  • 1tbsp
    vinegar

How to make Custard Powder Scones

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C.

  2. Add vinegar to half a cup of milk and set aside.

  3. Sieve all dry ingredients together.

  4. Rub in cold grated or small cubed margarine into the dry ingredients until it resembles a sand-like texture.

  5. Add one cup of milk and eggs, mix and pour into dry ingredients.

  6. Mix and add the remaining milk mixture to form a dough.

  7. Roll out the dough on a floured surface and cut to desired size.

  8. Place on greased pans.

  9. Bake for 20 minutes.

  10. Let them cool and enjoy.

Tips & Tricks

  1. Ensure the margarine is cold for a better texture.

  2. Do not overmix the dough to keep the biscuits tender.
