Matar Paneer Handi recipe

Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1 1/2tbsp
    cooking oil
  • 250g
    cottage cheese cubes
  • 1/4tsp
    Kashmiri lal mirch powder
  • 2piece
    medium tomatoes, cubed
  • 1/2cup
    fried onion
  • 12piece
    almonds
  • 2tbsp
    desiccated coconut
  • 1/4cup
    water
  • 3 1/2tbsp
    cooking oil
  • 1tbsp
    ginger garlic paste
  • 1tsp
    Kashmiri lal mirch powder
  • 1tsp
    salt
  • 1tsp
    red chilli powder
  • 1tsp
    coriander powder
  • 1/2tsp
    garam masala powder
  • 1 1/2cup
    peas
  • 1cup
    water
  • 2 1/2tbsp
    cream (optional)
  • 1 1/2tbsp
    lemon juice
  • 1tsp
    kasuri methi
  • 2piece
    green chilli, sliced
  • 2tbsp
    fresh coriander

How to make Matar Paneer Handi

Preparation

  1. Heat oil in a pan. Add cottage cheese and Kashmiri lal mirch powder. Fry until golden brown.

Blending

  1. In a blender, add tomatoes, fried onion, almonds, coconut, and water. Blend well.

Cooking

  1. Heat oil in a pan. Add ginger garlic paste and Kashmiri lal mirch powder. Mix well and fry for a minute.

  2. Add the blended mixture. Mix well and cook for 2 minutes.

  3. Add dry spices. Mix well and cook for 5 minutes.

  4. Add peas and water. Let the water boil, then cover and cook on low flame for 10 minutes or until peas are done.

Finishing

  1. Turn off the flame and add cream. Mix well.

  2. Turn the flame on, pour in lemon juice, and mix well.

  3. Add cottage cheese and mix gently.

  4. Add kasuri methi and green chilli. Cover and cook for 2-3 minutes.

  5. Garnish with coriander leaves.
