Ingredients

(1 serving = 1 chilla with raita)

For Moong Daal Chilla/Dosa

  • 1cup
    moong daal
  • 1in
    ginger
  • 1tsp
    zeera
  • salt to taste
  • oil to grease

For Spiced Raita

  • 6piece
    green chilli
  • 12clove
    garlic
  • 2tbsp
    coriander leaves
  • 1tsp
    salt
  • 1tsp
    zeera
  • 1tsp
    oil
  • 1/2tsp
    rai
  • 1/2tsp
    kalongi
  • 1/2cup
    yogurt

How to make Easy and Quick Moong Daal Chilla/Dosa with Spiced Raita

For Moong Daal Chilla/Dosa

  1. Wash and soak moong daal for 5 minutes.

  2. In a blender, add ginger, zeera, soaked daal along with water and blend to a smooth paste. Add salt to taste.

  3. For crispier dosas/chillas, add water to achieve a thinner consistency.

  4. Grease a pan with oil and add a scoop of daal mixture. Cook on medium heat.

  5. Brush some oil on the upper side of the chilla. When cooked, fold and dish out.

For Spiced Raita

  1. Chop green chilli, coriander leaves, garlic cloves, zeera and salt.

  2. Heat oil in a pan, add rai and kalongi until they sputter.

  3. Add the green chilli mixture and fry for a minute. Remove from heat.

  4. Whisk in yogurt and mix well.

Tips & Tricks

  1. Use yogurt at room temperature for better consistency.
