Chicken Karahi with Karahi Masala

Ingredients
Karahi Masala
- 6tspcoriander seeds
- 6piecedried long red pepper
- 18pieceblack peppercorns
- 6tspcumin powder
- 4tspred chili powder
- 6tspcoriander powder
- 2tspsalt
Chicken Karahi
- 1piececooking spoon of oil
- 1 1/2tspgarlic paste
- 500gchicken
- 500gtomato
- 1 1/2tbspKarahi masala
- 1/4cupwater
- 5piecegreen chilli
- 1tspginger (julienne cut)
- 1tbspcoriander leaves
How to make Chicken Karahi with Karahi Masala
Karahi Masala
Dry roast all whole spices. Do not over roast as it affects the taste of the karahi.
Let the roasted spices cool, then add them to a spice blender and make a fine powder.
Mix the powdered spices with the ground whole spices well.
Store and use as required.
Chicken Karahi
Heat oil and crackle zeera.
Add garlic paste and fry for a minute.
Add chicken and fry until the color changes.
Add tomatoes and karahi masala, cover, and cook in its own water until the chicken is tender. Add water if required.
Sprinkle green chillies, ginger, and coriander leaves, cook for a minute, and then turn off the stove.

Serve with onion rings, raita, and naan for a complete meal.
