- 1 1/2cupMilk
- 1/3cupsugar
- 1 1/2tbspCustard Powder
- 150g- 200 gm Sponge Cake
- 1cupmix fruits of your choice
- Whipped cream for decoration
- Packet of jelly
How to make CUSTARD TRIFLE
To make Custard firstly boil the milk.
Mix custard powder in 1/4 cup cold milk and add to the boiled milk. Mix continuously. Add sugar. When it starts to boil again switch of the gas. Let it cool.
To make jelly read the instructions on the jelly packet. let it set in the fridge.
Start by placing a layer of sponge cake at the bottom of a glass trifle dish. Ensure that the cake cover the entire surface.
Add a layer of fruits on top of the custard, ensuring they cover the entire surface.
Pour Jelly on top of the fruit and cake layer. Now pour a generous amount of custard over the cake, covering it entirely. Spread the custard evenly using a spoon or spatula.
Repeat the layers by adding another layer of cake, followed by custard and fruits. Continue layering until you reach the top of the dish.
Finish the trifle by spreading a layer of whipped cream on top. You can use a piping bag for an elegant presentation or simply spread it with a spatula.
Refrigerate the custard trifle for a few hours or overnight to allow the flavors to meld and the cake to absorb the custard.
Once chilled, your custard trifle is ready to be enjoyed. Serve it by scooping portions into individual bowls or glasses, making sure to get a bit of each layer in every spoonful.
