FAQS

  1. How do I make a brownie mug cake in the microwave?

To make a brownie mug cake in the microwave, start by mixing 6 tablespoons of refined flour, 3 tablespoons of cocoa powder, and 6 tablespoons of castor sugar in a large microwave-safe mug. Then, add 2 tablespoons of melted butter or oil and 6 tablespoons of milk, mixing well. Incorporate your favorite mix-ins like chocolate chips or chopped walnuts, then microwave on high for about 2 minutes or until the cake is cooked through. Let it cool slightly before adding ice cream and chocolate sauce on top for an extra treat!

  2. Can I make a gluten-free brownie mug cake?

Yes, you can easily make a gluten-free brownie mug cake by substituting the refined flour with a gluten-free flour blend. Just ensure that the blend you choose is suitable for baking to achieve the right texture. The rest of the ingredients can remain the same, and you can still enjoy a delicious, gooey brownie mug cake!

  3. What are some good substitutions for ingredients in a brownie mug cake?

If you don't have castor sugar, you can use granulated sugar or brown sugar as a substitute. For a dairy-free version, replace the milk with almond milk or coconut milk, and use a dairy-free butter alternative. You can also swap out the walnuts for other nuts or omit them entirely if you prefer a nut-free dessert.

  4. How should I store leftover brownie mug cake?

If you have leftover brownie mug cake, store it in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. To reheat, simply pop it back in the microwave for about 15-20 seconds until warmed through. Enjoy it plain or with a scoop of ice cream for a quick dessert!

  5. What can I pair with my brownie mug cake for a delicious dessert experience?

To enhance your brownie mug cake, consider pairing it with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or whipped cream. Drizzling some chocolate sauce or caramel sauce on top can also elevate the flavor. For a crunchy contrast, sprinkle some extra chopped nuts or chocolate chips on top before serving!
