Basil Chicken recipe

Ingredients

2 Servings
(1 serving = Half portion )
  • 300g
    Chicken Keel, sliced into bite size, marinate with Oyster Sauce
  • 1cup
    Asian basil(leaves only)
  • 1
    stalk Spring Onion(non green part only) chopped finely
  • 3
    cloves Garlic smashed
  • 6
    Bird Eye Chilli(larger variant) either smashed(less spicy) or chopped finely
  • Oyster sauce and Thai Fish Sauce to taste
  • Oil for stir fry

How to make Basil Chicken

  1. Heat oil

  2. Fry smashed Garlic, chopped Spring Onions and Bird Eye chilli until fragrant

  3. Add marinated Chicken Keel, then Thai Fish Sauce, stir fry until cooked

  4. Lastly add Basil leaves, stir fry once just to get the sauce mixed with leaves.

  5. Served with hot Jasmine rice

Tips & Tricks

  1. Larger variant of Bird Eye Chilli is less spicy. Smashed chilli is less spicy comparative to chopped ones
