- 1piecelemon (juice)
- 1tbsppeanuts
- 1tspmustard seeds
- 1tspurad dal
- 1sprigcurry leaves
- 1piecedried red chilli

How to make Lemon Rice Andhra Special (Pulihora)
Tempering
Heat a pan with sunflower oil and fry the peanuts for a minute or two on low flame.
Add mustard seeds, urad dal, and dried red chilli. Fry for 1-2 minutes until they turn golden brown.
Add curry leaves, and if using, hing and turmeric. Switch off the stove and allow it to cool down a bit.
Combining
Add lemon juice to the tempered mixture.
Quickly add the cooked rice and mix well.
Allow the flavors to incorporate into the rice by letting it rest for 10-15 minutes, or serve immediately.
Tips & Tricks
You can use leftover rice for this recipe.
