How to make Santa Cupcakes
Baking Cupcakes
Bake cupcakes according to the instructions on your favorite cake mix. Allow them to cool completely before decorating.
Making Frosting
In a mixing bowl, beat the softened butter until creamy.
Gradually add powdered sugar, one cup at a time, mixing well.
Add vanilla extract and milk, beating until the frosting is light and fluffy. Adjust milk as needed for desired consistency.
Decorating Cupcakes
Divide the frosting into two bowls. Add red food coloring to one bowl to create red frosting for Santa’s hat. Leave the other bowl white for the beard and trim.
Frost the top half of each cupcake with red frosting to create Santa’s hat. Use white frosting to form Santa’s beard and trim around the hat.
Place a mini marshmallow at the top of the red frosting to represent Santa’s hat pom-pom. Use mini chocolate chips for the eyes, a red candy for Santa’s nose, and white candy pearls or sprinkles for additional decoration.
Allow the frosting to set before serving or packaging.
Tips & Tricks
Store cupcakes in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days, or refrigerate for longer freshness.
Great for holiday parties, dessert platters, and family baking fun.
