    box Red Velvet Cake Mix
  • 3piece
    Egg
  • 1/2cup
    Vegetable Oil
  • 1/2cup
    Water

Buttercream Frosting

  • 4cups
    Powdered Confectioners Sugar
  • 1cup
    Butter, room temperature

How to make Red Velvet Whoopie Pies

Preparation

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).

  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the Red Velvet Cake Mix, Eggs, Vegetable Oil, and Water with a hand mixer. Beat for about 3 minutes until the batter is smooth and creamy.

Assembling the Whoopie Pies

  1. Spoon the frosting into a decorating bag. Snip the end off, and swirl a layer of icing on the inside of a cake. Place another cake on top.

Tips & Tricks

  1. Ensure the butter is at room temperature for a smoother frosting.
