Falafel Mixture

- 1/2pieceonion
- 2clovegarlic
- 1/4bundleparsley
- 1tspcumin
- 1tspcoriander
- 1/2tspsalt
- 1/4tsppepper
- 2tbspflour
For Frying
- 1/2cupvegetable oil
How to make Falafel
Prepare Falafel Mixture
In a food processor, combine chickpeas, onion, garlic, parsley, cumin, coriander, salt, and pepper. Pulse until the mixture is well combined but still slightly chunky.
Transfer the mixture to a bowl and stir in flour until well combined.
Shape and Fry Falafel
Shape the mixture into small patties.
Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
Fry falafel patties in batches until golden brown on both sides, about 3-4 minutes per side.
Remove falafel from skillet and place on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
Serving
Serve falafel hot with your favorite dipping sauce or in a pita with vegetables and tahini sauce.
