Ingredients
- 1tbspolive oil
- 1pieceonion
- 2clovegarlic
- 1cupbeef broth
- 1cupwater
- 1tbspWorcestershire sauce
- 1tspdried thyme
- 1tspdried rosemary
- 1piecebay leaf
- salt and pepper
How to make Beer Brisket
Preheat oven to 300 degrees F (150 degrees C).
Heat the olive oil in a large pot or Dutch oven over medium heat.
Sear the beef brisket in the hot oil until browned on all sides.
Add the onion and garlic to the pot and cook until softened.
Add the beef broth, water, Worcestershire sauce, thyme, rosemary, bay leaf, salt, and pepper to the pot.
Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 2 hours, or until the beef is tender.
Remove the beef from the pot and let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
Serve the beef brisket with mashed potatoes or your favorite sides.
Tips & Tricks
For extra flavor, marinate the brisket in the Worcestershire sauce and herbs overnight before cooking.
Use a sharp knife to slice the brisket against the grain for more tender pieces.
