Prepare the Filling
Cook the eggs in boiling water for 10 minutes. Let them cool, then roughly chop.
In a pan with olive oil, add chopped garlic, onion, and peppers. Cook for a few minutes.
Add ground beef and cook for a few more minutes. Season with salt and ground black pepper.
Add tomato sauce and cook for a few more minutes. Stir in the chopped boiled eggs and let the mixture cool.
Prepare the Pastry
In a bowl, mix together milk, sunflower oil, two eggs, pastry flour, and salt.
Knead until you have a smooth dough and let it rest for 15 minutes.
Assemble and Bake
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
Roll out half of the dough to make the base and place it in a baking tray. Add the filling.
Roll out the other half of the dough, place it over the filling, and crimp the edges to seal.
Whisk the remaining egg and brush it over the pie.
Bake in the oven for 45 to 50 minutes. Let it cool slightly before serving.
Tips & Tricks
Ensure the filling is cool before adding it to the pastry to prevent the dough from becoming soggy.
For a golden crust, make sure to brush the pie with beaten egg before baking.
