Ingredients
Filling
- 3pieceMedium Apples, cored, chopped
- 3pieceMedium Pears, cored, chopped
- 1pieceLemon, juiced
- 1tbspCoconut Sugar
- 1tspGround Cinnamon
Topping
- 1 3/4cupsQuick Cooking Oats
- 4tbspAlmond Meal
- 1cupWalnut, finely chopped
- 1/2cupPure Maple Syrup
- 1tspVanilla Extract
- Mineral Salt, as needed
- Ground Cinnamon, to taste
How to make Apple and Pear Crisp
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (180 degrees C).
In a large bowl or directly in your baking dish, combine chopped apples, pears, lemon juice, coconut sugar, and ground cinnamon.
Mix well and layer into a 9x9 baking dish.
In a medium-sized bowl, combine quick cooking oats, almond meal, walnuts, pure maple syrup, vanilla extract, and mineral salt. Mix well.
Spread the oat mixture evenly over the apples and sprinkle with ground cinnamon to taste.
Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until apples and pears are fork-tender.
Let cool for 5-10 minutes before serving.
Tips & Tricks
For a nut-free version, omit the walnuts or replace them with seeds.
Use gluten-free oats if you need a gluten-free dessert.
