Filling

    Medium Apples, cored, chopped
  • 3piece
    Medium Pears, cored, chopped
  • 1piece
    Lemon, juiced
  • 1tbsp
    Coconut Sugar
  • 1tsp
    Ground Cinnamon

Topping

  • 1 3/4cups
    Quick Cooking Oats
  • 4tbsp
    Almond Meal
  • 1cup
    Walnut, finely chopped
  • 1/2cup
    Pure Maple Syrup
  • 1tsp
    Vanilla Extract
  • Mineral Salt, as needed
  • Ground Cinnamon, to taste

How to make Apple and Pear Crisp

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (180 degrees C).

  2. In a large bowl or directly in your baking dish, combine chopped apples, pears, lemon juice, coconut sugar, and ground cinnamon.

  3. Mix well and layer into a 9x9 baking dish.

  4. In a medium-sized bowl, combine quick cooking oats, almond meal, walnuts, pure maple syrup, vanilla extract, and mineral salt. Mix well.

  5. Spread the oat mixture evenly over the apples and sprinkle with ground cinnamon to taste.

  6. Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until apples and pears are fork-tender.

  7. Let cool for 5-10 minutes before serving.

Tips & Tricks

  1. For a nut-free version, omit the walnuts or replace them with seeds.

  2. Use gluten-free oats if you need a gluten-free dessert.
