- 1tbspchilli powder
- 1tspsalt
- 1/4tspturmeric
- 1tbspCoconut Vinegar (to mix to a paste)
- 5tbspRice Flour or Semolina (to roll the fish in)
- 250mLOil (for deep frying)

How to make Ma's Fried Fish
Wash and dry fish. Make a paste (masala) with the chilli powder, turmeric, salt and coconut vinegar. Rub the masala all over the fish and marinate for 30 minutes.
Roll the marinated fish in rice flour or semolina.
Deep fry the fish in smoking hot oil until crisp and golden brown.(3 to 4 minutes for each batch)

Tips & Tricks
The oil must be smoking hot for the fish to be crisp and delicious.
You may require more than 5 tbsp of rice flour or semolina to coat the fish.
Instead of deep frying you could also pan fry.
